Historic Deepwood Estate, 12th & Mission Streets, Salem.
Wow! Deepwood will be partnering for the weekend with the Oregon Quilt Project and members of the Columbia Willamette Quilt Study Group. Together we have planned another fabulous Quilters’ Tea for Saturday and on Sunday we are hosting a day of Quilt Documentation and private Tea & Tour sessions.
Quilters’ Tea, “What’s in a Name?” - Identifying & Documenting our Quilts, Saturday, October 2nd 10:00 AM; 12:00AM; 2:00 PM, $30.00 per person, reservations required.
In addition to a sumptuous tea, guests will be treated to a presentation and display of New York Beauty quilts (also called Rocky Mountain Road quilts), and tour of an incredible 1894 Queen Ann Victorian home – filled with vintage quilts.
Quilt Documentation and Private Tea, Sunday, October 3rd, $15 Reservations Required, Limited availability; scheduled at ½ hour intervals
Have your quilt documented* as part of the Oregon Quilt Project! Each session takes about 30 minutes. Following each session, quilt owner and two guests are invited in for private time in Deepwood where they can visit over tea & scones and tour Deepwood and the vintage quilts on display in this historic home on the National Register of Historic Places. What a great way to have fun with a couple of quilt friends and support the work of the Oregon Quilt Project at the same time! (Let us know if you prefer morning or afternoon and we will schedule your session.)
* owners may request copies of documentation forms and photographs to be mailed under separate cover.
Call Deepwood at 503-363-1825 for reservations!
Special note: a portion of registration fees for both events will be donated to the Oregon Quilt Project
