March 30th and 31st A wonderful way to celebrate area native plants and the blooming erythromiums at Historic Deepwood Estate. Native plants from local growers will be available for sale and community partners will be on hand to answer questions and provide tours of the Rita Steiner Nature Trail and native gardens.

Wild Flower Photography Workshop with Ron Cooper: Sunday, April 1st, 9 am - 4 pm
Well known Salem photographer Ron Cooper will feature hands on instruction with a focus on tips and techniques for photographing delicate wildflowers in a native setting.
Participants will learn simple inexpensive methods to light flowers for best results, how to construct camera cradles, composition and exposure. We will also discuss lenses, cameras and accessories for effective and rewarding flower photography. During the afternoon, participants will use Snapseed, an astonishing simple (and inexpensive) yet sophisticated digital photo editing application.
Participants will need to furnish their camera and Snapseed application which can be downloaded onto an IPad/Android/ or Laptop.
